5 Ways to Relax

Taking care of business is exactly what us Boss Babes do on a daily basis. We cook, clean, work, study, and organize among the plethora of things on our to-do lists every day. Let’s face it, it gets exhausting at times. You’re doing great at taking care of everyone and everything else except one…YOU.

Here are 5 ways to relax so you can keep up with life


  1. Exercise

Exercising is a great way to relax. It releases endorphins, promotes higher levels of melatonin, and provides many health benefits in general. If a full-blown cardio routine just isn’t for you, try taking a ten minute walk outside. A change of scenery and some fresh air can work wonders!


2. Β Take a bubble bath

That’s right, an old-fashioned bubble bath might just send you into the perfect state of relaxation. Add some scented candles and your favorite mood music to take it to the next level. Oh, and don’t forget the rubber ducky!


3. Unplug

Social media, Netflix, and Snapchat are all great and we enjoy using them too. However, it feels great to unplug sometimes and just relax while living in the moment. Try spending 1 hour without being connected. Use this time to read, draw, or sit in absolute silence. Either way, try stepping away from Facebook and step right into relaxation.


4. Plug in

If you’re going to stay plugged in, use it to your advantage. Throw in some ear buds, find a comfortable space, and listen to your favorite jams. Take the time to truly listen and enjoy your music.


5. Meditate

Meditation is still one of the best ways to relax to date. Find a space that you feel comfortable in (preferably a quiet one), get into a comfortable position, and just focus on breathing. Take slow, deep breaths. Try starting with 15 minutes a day and gradually buildΒ as necessary.

Life gets messy and there isn’t much we can do about that. However, the only way we’ll be able to handle life when it does get messy is by taking the time to care for ourselves. Keep taking care of business Boss Babes, but remember it’s okay to take care of YOU too.
